Doesn't sound normal to me either - mostly my changes are seamless, even when accelerating hard, and never any vibrations. I think it's time for a trip back to the stealer! 2007 Baltic Blue SE TD4 Auto |

Mine's seemless through 2.5 k miles. The box is supposed to adapt to your driving style, but even if you stabbed your accelerator, I doubt it would upset it. Does it do the same in Command Shift and Sport modes? Sounds like a trip to the dealer. The only thing I've noticed is when going into 'reverse' and sometimes 'drive' from rest , it will lurch slightly, but possibly that's my fault. Was GS TD4 Auto, Privacy, Santorini with Tundra & Alpaca, Cold Climate Pack. Traded for Discovery Sport HSE Auto. |

It does it all the times...Specially when changing from 1 to 3...It does it in normal mode. No hard driving, only normal accelerating.....The push back is even more noticable when step on the gas....

I'd be inclined to contact Land Rover Customer Services as I thought that the Land Rover warranty applied world wide no matter where you lived or where you bought the vehicle  ______________________

Have to say after doing 1300 miles in the 2 weeks I have had mine, have had no lag in changing gears, have been impressed with the auto box so far in mine Freelander 2 TD4 HST - With Santorini Black, Auto, Bi-Xenons, DAB Radio |

this automatic box is to be installed in audi q7 and some porsche models.....i've driven Q7....it has nothing to do with the performance in FL2, Q7 gear change is seamless.... |

Mine has done 7,000ks and sometimes there is a lag of changing gears when going uphill or down and it revs out could this have something to do with the wearing in process? will keep a eye on it,i might contact the dealer but would have to prove it in a test so it would have to happen all the time. |

It is interesting....the automatic gear change is affectected by the type of diesel in the tank....
