Been doing a bit of reading and noticed that mine is the second pic what is the extra setting for in the first pic

Dynamic
Optimizes driving performance on dry, paved roads.
The transmission holds gears longer, and throttle response is more aggressive.

Makes the RRS feel like a hot hatch when used.

Will be available as an option on Discovery Sport.

Never been available on Freelander, it's a Disco/RRS/FFRR feature

I've never even noticed it on our Disco's or my Mums RRS but I guess they're not my vehicles and I don't drive them that often  MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

my rrs has a similar button on the door push it down and the car gets noisier and windier pull up and things are quieter and calmer, At work

The first pic is an evoque with magnaride dampers, disco and rr's have rock crawl mode as well as standard, with the sport having the extra dynamic mode.

It is available as an option of RR Evoque and RR Sport and will be available as an option on Discovery Sport. It is not available on any other model built by LR in the UK.

A few years ago a colleague of mine ordered a Vauxhall Omega through the company car scheme just as they were going out of production. When he picked the car up from the supplying dealer the dealer asked him "what exactly did you order sir?" the reason for the question was that the car had every imaginable extra that was available and that it was actually impossible to order such a vehicle despite the fact that he had only ordered a mid range "GL". They drew the conclusion that the factory must have had lots of odd bits left over and that they got used up on the last few cars off the line.

So I wonder if there any "special" Freelanders out there?

Mine has Piano Gloss dash trim on the passenger side and wood effect on the drivers side

Did you pay extra for that?
