England 2015 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Loire Blue

Having read the manual, it says when using the emergency key the alarm will sound, it then goes on to say you need to dock the key to silence the alarm . As I have a newer model without a dock, what is the procedure? Do I press the unlock button on the dash? a button on the remote? Or something else? And I have looked at the latest manual available online and the one supplied with the car, both talk about docking the key. I don't fancy trying it and not being able to shut the thing up Razz FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

Sorry to reply to my own question. Found the info in the quick guide. Press the unlock on the smart key or the unlock button on the dash with the smart key in the car to disable the alarm. that'll teach me to read the idiots guide rather than the manual. FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

I'm not sure who they employ to proof read their manuals but for certain they don't drive a Freelander. Many snippets of information are carried over in the owner manual after a car facelift Rolling Eyes
