SatNav and DVD

Dear all,

Quick and probably dumb question here: Where will I put the DVD for the SatNav? I'm sure the dealer will tell me once I pick up my FL2 in a month's time, but am too impatient to wait Smile

Thanks!

I would say the charts are preloaded and any updates have to be done by the dealer at least while in warranty. FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER

Maps for your local area will be pre-loaded.

The DVD drive is under the drivers seat (Right Hand Front Seat) in UK models and that's where the DVD with the maps goes. To change to a different area just take out one DVD and insert the one with the correct area.
Mine came with 3 DVD's covering UK and Western Europe.

Updates are available from Land Rover on their website at about £160 for a replacement DVD.

Worth checking you receive the most up to date mapping when you take delivery.

Many thanks, guys. As I live in Switzerland, I assume the FL2 will come with at least a DVD for Switzerland and one for Western Europe ... at least I hope so Confused

And does the SatNav display speed cams? My good old Mio C710 does, and it does help when flying down to the South of France in our BMW ... Laughing

no speed cameras, and no way to update either...major disappointment of an otherwise good system. Phil

Yes they will probably have a Switerland map preeloaded and DVD as here they are supplying the same with the Satnav over here. FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER
