Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Fuji White
Speedometer and Rev Rounter

Just bought my 3rd FL2; 2013 SD GS Auto:both the rev counter and speedometer go to max for a second or two every time ignition is switched on, gauges work perfectly.
Previous 08 and 10 models did not do this.
Reason I ask is that on Ford Focus when gauges do this it is a self test dianostic check when low voltage is detected. Often on vehicles used mainly on stop start short journeys. Charge battery and all usually OK. This may not apply to recent Fords. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.

I think this is a post ( power on self test) but is not a sign of a fault unless it doesn't do it properly. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
