General Grabber GT wet weather performance

Just thought I would post to say my general grabbers GT has been great in all this wet weather

Driving on the motorway today there was lots of standing water and they didn't flinch a bit like my continental did in wet weather I always felt that they were slightly slippy

Very happy Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I second that. My Grabber GTs have been excellent in all conditions. - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.
- GCS Hawke - Sports, BRG, Vulcan 2.1 inj'. My toy - built it myself in 2001.

Not tried mine in the wet but it's reassuring to know, thanks. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak.

Stop global winging.

I definitely felt more planted on the wet stuff

If I hit standing water with one side you would obviously still get pulled a bit Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

What about braking performance?
I have Pirelli Scorpion ATRs which seem ok on mud and wet grass but scare the hell out of me on cold, wet roads.
Roundabouts in particular. I'll be replacing them at some point but not sure what to.

i've not skidded once in any weather with them, all round grip is loads better,

even going round smaller roundabouts in heavy rain and sports mode hasn't caused any worry, within the limits of what i would expect and i have not pushed it to find them since its a 4x4 not my old SRi Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Stooby, if you want an All Terrain the Grabber ATs are worth a look. An AT will never be as good as a road tyre on wet tarmac, but I've found them more than adequate with no scares on cold wet roads. Very good off road too.

On the other hand, if you don't need the off-road potential the GT would be a better bet on road.

Hi Pab,

yeah 90% of the time I'm on road so the Gt would be a better bet.
The damn Pirellis are taking ages to wear down but they're so bad i might have to bite the bullet and replace them anyway.
