looks like TFR/acid cleaner has been used, have you been through a local hand wash or anything? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

I wash it myself using whatever I have to hand, usually Autoglym or the stuff that LR punt when you buy a car from them. TFR has been nowhere near it to the best of my knowledge. I saw that a 62 plate FL2 was going the same way at the dealership. Nothing like as bad as mine though. I've cross posted a link to this thread in Mike's Customer Relations section. |

So the first response is that aggressive cleaning fluid must have been used so nothing to do with LR. Unless the fairies come round at night and wash the thing this is untrue, unless Sturgess in Leicester or Salmon in Coventry use such fluids.

It is possible that the dealers do use something nasty when they wash it. When my MY13 came back from TVLR recently the valve caps had turned white-ish. Thought it was polish but it hasn't washed off. Keep meaning to query it with them. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

...and I've just been informed that it's not a manufacturing fault and I have not been looking after it properly.
