Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Mauritius Blue

When I bought my F2, (GS Spec) I asked for a demonstration of the voice command by the salesman (LR dealership) as the button was there. After 10 mins he fetched a technician who opened the door and said, No Sat Nav, no voice command. Even the salesman didnt realise. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

Yeah but the strange thing is that I worked 2 times I could say voice commands and I got the voice command list but after 2 times I never did voice commands until 3months after that and then I did not work so why did it work 2 times?!

Only logical explanation is that when you pressed the "Speech Recognition" button on the steering wheel you either turned the volume down on the Voice Control feature using the volume up or down, also on the multi function steering wheel or the volume knob on the centre console.
Volume presets for infotainment features are adjustable via the touchcreen menu or a shortcut is to use the volume controls, either steering wheel or centre console, whilst using the feature.

If you go into "setup" and you have none of the following screens, including above without Navigation or Voice, then you don't have voice control.

 MY15
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Surround Camera System
InControl Apps soon to be replaced with CarPlay (WIP)
Meridian Premium Surround Sound
Digital Audio Broadcast
Timed Climate
Cruise ECO Data
Follow Me Home Reverse
Extra Features Menu
Picture In Motion
4x4i screen (WIP)
Digital Broadcast TV
Meridian Rear Media with WIFI
Factory Powered Tailgate
Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)
Reverse Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
Electrochromatic Wing Mirrors (WIP)

I don't have the touch screen satnav, I have the small screen it supports bluethooth, aux and USB I can't go into the speech menu but I'm 150% sure I could make voice commands the first time it's so weird I can't understand how this could happen.. there must be an explanation or not?

Press "Voice Control" on steering wheel and try and turn up volume using either steering wheel control or centre console volume control, that will be the only explanation.
If you have the base audio with small information screen you definitely do not have Voice Control, it's requires the Gen2.1 IAM Level 3. MY15

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

I realise that this is in vain, I’m assuming that I cannot voice dial from my iPhone 7 paired with bluetooth in my 2007 FL2 HSE?
