Having watched the in-flight safety video I can see how an element of the feminist brigade would certainly react negatively to the film. Air NZ have only themselves to blame for missing a few tricks that would have got this great idea past these reactionaries:
a) instead of using actual swimsuit models they should have selected some real female cabin crew member volunteers
b) they should have also had a 50/50 male/female presenter line-up in swimsuits
c) and not included the swimming pool scene from LA - way too sexually orientated
d) finally cut the forth member of the canoe crew sneeking a look at the girls
Pity, the creative concept was a good one, and, I'm sure the flying public would have paid a great deal of attention to such a safety film. After 30+ years of flying on business I no longer pay any attention to the on board safety films - that refreshing approach to the subject would have most certainly grabbed my attention.
