The new car was finally collected yesterday, exactly 13 weeks from point of order and arrived at the dealer on the promised delivery date.

Really impressed with the service throughout from Hunters Land Rover at Kings Lynn, especially Kevin who gave me and the wife a two hour handover including a really comprehensive run through of the in-car systems.

The full spec is MY14 TD4 XS manual with the cold weather pack/heated screen, armrest pack, tailgate spoiler and reversing camera in Orkney grey with ebony leather and silver element trim. Wheels and tyres are standard - I don't fancy big rims down some of the fields it will be in.

Land Rover obviously knew they had another new member of the club because after picking it up in glorious sunshine, within 2 hours the skies opened and it hasn't stopped raining since - at least it cures the urge to polish it!
