My idea is to display informations that are not available anywhere else like you did with battery volts. It is very great to have those informations available.
I guess another interesting information to be displayed would be the engine temperature (in celcius degrees) if possible and maybe the internal temperature too as by default it display only the external temperature.
I will try to check more signals on canbus to see if there are more things interesting.

My updated software is showing now the engine temperature in a linear manner.
So, the digital engine temperature display is now somehow redundant. Check the previous posts, more exactly, the post from Apr 7th, 2014.

What about those with Satnav screen installed? is it possible to make a new menu and add all the information there somehow?

Navi and its display are a different system.
It should be looked into and modified that firmware.
