Thanks for asking, very sore point, car waiting at dealers nearly two weeks now but not delivered due to 'admin' problem between dealer and my fleet office .....

For those of you that "have yours" up in Scotland, how are doing in the snow? Scottie, are you getting the snow in Inverness? I am curious as snow is our surface too most of the winter.

I am finding it superb it’s the other road users that clog the road up fantastic grip and traction no problem in the snow at all

I was begining to think this day would never arrive ... but I can now answer YES to this question. Drove the 4 miles home in very heavy traffic; then got a call from youngster, the school bus had broken down, another 4 miles in heavy traffic to pick her up; then a call from my wife, flat tyre on her cer in works car park, yet another 4 miles in heavy traffic. Going to find some clear roads this evening !!! |

yes we have snow and yes so far it is fine on the white stuff. Ours is a manual so It handles a treat slowing down using the gears and stuff. Nothing worse in a big 4x4 auto and you put the foot in the brakes wheels lock up and you slide missing the turn.  Fiona

I live just south of Manchester, we've just had a sudden & unexpected fall of snow. I had to take the opportunity to get out an play in it! Headed for the high ground of the Peak District and found plenty of the white stuff. All I can say is 'wow', performance is brilliant. The GS is the first 4X4 I've owned, and to have the chance to let it loose in the snow within three days of taking delivery is wonderful, couldn't have planned it better! Headed straight for a couple of 1 in 4's that I know well, always the first to close in bad weather. Even without selecting terrain response straight up no problem. Got to the stage of stopping on the hills to try and restart, again no problem. Coming down was great for trying out Hill-Descent, again worked fine. I'm sure there are many reading this who have been driving 4X4's for years who know how well they work in all conditions and are thinking 'so what' a bit of snow; but please humour me as this is all new and exciting. I've cracked the half century in years, but today I feel like an eight year old with a new toy !! And to answer 'gibberjump's question worked fine on the factory fit Goodyear Wrangler M+S |

Brilliant!! I am extemely envious! Too bad my HSE does not arrive until April. Not even Canada has snow in April. Oh well, I am sure i will be able to find a muddy country road somewhere to play in |

this is what I do. get in car put key in slot keep feet off clutch press start button and the ignition will come on lights checking system message etc etc then I put my route into satnav then foot on clutch start press start button and we are off. but not sure I would do this everytime if I was taking ages to enter the route as I am still from the odler days when it was not best practice to leave the car on ignition to long as it would heat up the coil.
