Help Please - Auxillary on Radio and replacing Cigarette lig

I have a 2007 model GS which has an aux function on the radio. I cannot find where/ how I connect it to anything?

Also I need to replace the cigarette lighter on the centre console but I am struggling to connect the new part to the cables as they are very short to reach through the whole. Has anyone got a soloution for this or do I need to take the car apart to do it!

Many Thanks

George

Hi George, my Focus audio system has an Aux button though there's no way of connecting anything to it, the radio's were sent out with this button as standard. Pretty damn useless if you ask me!

The aux input is a jack towards the rear of the centre console, next to the rear 12v power socket.

I seem to recall a previous post describing how to change a power socket - I think it might have been the front one and done by removing the gaiter around the gear lever. I don't recall exactly, but try using the search facility - there's some information here somewhere!

There's a bit more in here (but not a lot):

Sounds fiddly!

Thank you so much re the aux thing I will investigate!

The cigarrette lighter is rather more tricky!
