A couple of days ago I came back from holidays. I made 6600 Km and had following mpg:
- 800 Km - no motorways just normal roads trough a lot of towns and villages a two mountain crossings with the car almost fully loaded: 7.5 l/100 Km ( abt 36,7 mpg ??) - read on the computer which I find quite exact.
- another 1500 Km (to destinatio) mostly on motorways but with the foot quie havy on the acceleration (mostly 140 - 150 Km/hour). This brought my 2300 Km journey to a 8 l/100 Km ( 35,2 mpg ??)
- than abt 2000 Km with the Fl2 mostly empty which a fair share of traffic jams and not to easy on the accelerator (up to 170 Km/hour) which took me to 8.1 l/100 Km and tahn back to 8 l/100 Km.
- than the 2300 Km back with the car incredibly loaded but as I planned an extra night no rush so easy on the accelerator tried to keep her at abt 120 - 130 Km/hour 2100 - 2200 rpm). So for the first 1100 Km (all on motorways) I got an amazing 6.7 l/100 Km (42.1 mpg ??) and a 7.1 l/100 Km (39,7 mpg) over the entire 2300 Km (abt 1400 on motorways and 900 not). These readings where from the pump and odometer and not the computer. When I reached home the computer read 7.8 l/100 Km (36,2 mpg ??) average on the entire 6600 Km journey.

Maybe the answer is to drive around full loaded as your loaded figures seem to be the best! At work
