Not a nice Christmas Present

I feel so sorry for all of those who have flooded homes. Sad

Just saw this on BBC news;

Keep safe out there. Thumbs Up

I was wondering about that earlier. It's just about within its wading depth - should be able to drive it out of there Thumbs Up

Not quite... It's above door sills and therefore, slowly, the water will enter cabin till that level.
On the passenger's feet lays Central Junction Box (the one with interior fuses), one of the most important "brains" in the car.
Without it the car won't function and the CJB isn't water proof/tight.

slight chance of saving it, if not already leaked through door seals, open windows with fob climb in window.
but water may have got into the diff breather etc etc

same story if you drown driving in a flood do not open door water rushes in and drowns the sat nav at least, I know of this happening, new sat nav and radio needed very expensive At work
At home

I follow the AA on twitter, slightly off topic but they are saying that they dealing with about 40 cases a day of cars driving through flood water that are getting stuck.

Back on topic, would it be worth getting into the FL2 and seeing if it would start, OR could that cause more damage to it by trying?? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
Gone MY2010 Freelander 2 Manual TD4.e S, Alaska White.

Give it a go
as long as the air intake is clear and you don't flood the cab when you get in what harm can you do?

It would be wise to change the gerbox/diff oils when you get home, unless you have extended the breathers. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
