Garage shelving

...

I'm looking to put some decent shelving into the garage, since it's too small for a Freelander (or for any reasonable sized car for that matter... Confused ) I might as well maximise the ordered storage space.

This was advertised in the Sunday paper today... http://www.bigdug.co.uk/ ...Anybody bought / installed this or have any other recommendations?

All the usual uses... storing the usual stuff that builds up in a domestic garage...

Thanks for any opinions / advice / experience...

This is what I have, it's not cheap but very good quality. I have had it for 5 years now and looks as it did when delivered.

You might find similar stuff for cheaper second hand? We bought all our racking for our warehouse from an auction when a buisness folded. Have you looked on EBay? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
Gone MY2010 Freelander 2 Manual TD4.e S, Alaska White.

I fitted some bigdug shelving in a garage and it is quite good and easy to assemble, it just slots together with a bit of tab bending needed. The shelf spacing is also quite versatile although you need to work out the spacing for the shelves as you are building it rather than try to alter it afterwards. The only problem i had was with the shelves, some needed a bit of trimming to sit flush in the recess but being thin mdf it was not much of a problem. For maximum stability it is best fixed to the wall but that would go for most free standing units.
In our garage we have the keter 5 tier plastic shelving units and they are quite good and reasonable priced, although the newer style is not quite as strong as the old style but still stands up to the toolboxes, jacks and other garage related bits. Also being plastic it cleans up well after any leaks.

We've recently just put up spur shelving along one wall

http://www.storage-solutions.co.uk/shop/sh...20Shelving

Then used laminate furniture panels from Wickes.

Not the cheapest and perhaps not the most attractive but we wanted the flexibility of shelf depth and distance between shelves. I'd over ordered for the shed, so was a chance to use up what was left and then bought extra brackets and shelving to make up what we needed.
