Freelander 1 Baby Seat

OK...

SWMBO is now a registered child minder and as she is NOT going to drive my D3 for a living (that's my job) she is using her Freelander 1 V reg 3 dorr hardback so not the latest of the last model (not sure is seats changed).

We are looking for a baby seat that will fit in the centre of the rear bench properly and if poss the side seats too (i.e. all three positions in the rear).

Anyone got good recommendations as to which seat fits the nest and is also easy to fit ?

Cheers

Hi Simon, I drove Freelanders for 5 years before moving upto the RRSport. I think you will struggle to get three full size baby seats across the rear seats of a series one Freelander.

Sorry

mate... don't need three Wink only one that will fit securely in the centre or preferrably in all three seats... and NOT be a pain to fit.

Sorry didn't make myself clear Embarassed

BTW... I went to Gaydon with What Car ? on a preview of Freelander 2 (June 7th) and a lady wanted to fit three seats in the back but her current Freelander was too small to do this.

Geoff Upex and the interior designer (sorry his name escapes me) told her to bring her car round and they would help her fit three into the back of the Freelander 2.

They had a handy seat in the studio to make up the three.

Fitted perfectly !

And hats of the Mr Upex for suggesting, helping and showing this lady that it is now possible Smile Not many design directors would do that just to help sell one vehicle to one potential customer !!

He will be missed.

These guys have an amazing knowledge of all kinds of child seats, and may be able to help you - I've been there with all my previous cars and they've been able to say with authority which is the best fit. You may be able to ring them for advice.
