This is, for the most part, a straight forward job.

The tip I have is for one of the first actions - removing the plastic 'screw' plugs.

They were solid and would not turn so I levered them up gently and squirted some penetrating oil under their heads and left them for 10 minutes.

They were still very tight but they did turn and eventually come out!

I think LR should amend their printed instructions as they imply that they are screw plugs and will turn easily - they are not screw but a push fit and do not simply turn and unscrew out. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

That's interesting. My 2009 XS definitely had screw plugs. I couldn't leaver them out and found gently tapping the edge to get them turning meant I could eventually unscrew them. Maybe LH used two types.

Is it me or was fitting the cross brace the most frustrating thing ever..!! I couldn't get the screws in for ages.
