Had one of those in a rental car once, and thought it was a bit gimmicky.

How can I get the compass screen onto a 2013MY car? Better still, can I get the altitude? |

I know some have swapped from standard to auto dimming and the power was there, but I would know were it could pick up its compass heading unless it was built in already |

I THINK that is built into the mirror itself - it's pretty simplistic.

The compass facility is deffo built into the mirror - it just needs power. The problem is fixing it to the existing mount.

Have been looking at the Gentex ones on eBay, and wondering if one was worth a punt.

Meanwhile, back in the real world.. I'm wondering if the existing mirror's mount could be re-used? Could a Disco 2 compass mirror (or similar) be fixed to the FL2 metal mounting? Hmm.. |
