Engineer59, I like you are also on my 5th F/L and I dearly love Emily but having always run 3drs with flip up lids, drop t/gate glass and removeable back I really miss the fresh air that Freda gave me even in the winter + the ability to carry abnormal loads but I agree with all your comments. Carry on smiling like me.
ps F/L2 is even better in the claggy stuff than F/L1 and that is an accolade still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

Thanks for the comments, the tailgate glass feature was really useful for those trips to the tip with old tree bits and those DIY trips buying wood over 2.4m Smile...

guess thats the price for moving up a rung in the Freelander family tree Smile 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Auto, Stornoway Grey, Black interior, privacy glass

Yes but that brake light used to get in the way when laying long loads thru the back window

True CG but you could drop the ladders over the CHMSL and you would not loose them and it was handy to stand on when loading the roof rack. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit
