If I read this is right (and it looks fairly conclusive that Frank is his pa) then......

Ronan 'son' is 25. Frank was born Dec 1915 so would have been 97 now. That means 'son' was fathered when Frank was in his early seventies. With all the women that threw themselves at ol' blue eyes and after all the horizontal exercise he must have had in his life then 'well done that man'. Most would have been worn out and on the fish suppers Rolling with laughter
