Trim Choice

Firstly I would like to say hello to you all Smile

I have been looking here for a little while to get some feedback and to summon up the courage to order a Freelander 2. The reason for the nervousness was mainly due to the previous model's poor build and reliability issues.
I say was, as the 2 seems to be a vast improvement all round over the old model.

After a test drive I have now decided to order one, not quite sure which spec yet but it will be probably XS or SE.

Just looking at the interior trim specs in the brochure, it seems as if there is only one trim colour for the part leather seats(ebony) which is quite a bright blue , which I am not too keen on to be honest. Am reading it right, is there just one choice of colour?
Surely there must be another choice, well apart from going full leather at an extra £900ish of course.

TIA

England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

Land Rover website shows a number of different trim options

Try looking here

I eventually went for an SE with Scuba/Ebony interior which is a darkish blue and to my mind looks OK - also hides the dirt quite well.

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

Hi,

Personally I went for the XS and paid the £1100 for the full leather upgrade. This was purely because I was not keen on any of the two-tone colours. The dealer stated that this was one of the main complaints at their feedback days and that different colours would be available in the 2009 model year. Although when the 2009 model details were released the only trim colour change was the addition of Almond leather!!

me too

Like Northern Monkey, I ended up adding the full leather upgrade to my SE. I would have preferred half leather, but really didn't like the fabric colours or patterns on offer. No did I like the fact that the coloured inserts on the door interiors were different colour shade and fabric pattern. To me it looked like an upholstery cock-up! Shocked

So mine's alpaca leather, and it looks great and really lightens the interior of the vehicle. Shame about the extra expense!

Thanks for the replies and pics.

Have to agree with Nick Jan totally. Part leather would have been my choice but it looks like another full leather upgrade and more expense Rolling Eyes

Now back to the brochure............

Are you saying you dont like our cars? Big Cry Big Cry Neutral well your wrong Laughing

Mrs George told me to order black seats, so when I found blue was standard and black extra I went for blue and didnt tell her. She wasn't happy at first but now she is very happy with the blue .. just being a stubborn female amazed that I disobeyed her! Evil or Very Mad
In truth the blue looks much better in the flesh and I couldn't live with a pale interior , not while living on the farm. And I couldn't have gone for green as it may have the new baby ill Whistle
