lights

I know you can increase lighting on a disco 3 by fitting phillips xtra power light bulbs, does anyone know if I can get better lights on my FL2 XS, MY 07
It has 'ordinary' lights at the mo.

Thanks in advance [/b]

Here's a simple solution, Halfords Super Brilliance +50%. I had a dipped beam fail a few weeks ago, so went to Halfords for a replacement. They had standard bulbs at £15 a pair (not available singly) and a range of high performance bulbs. The Super Brilliance +50% were £19.95 each but buy one get one free. So for the extra £5 over standard bulbs I thought I'd give them a go. They are noticeably brighter and whiter than the standard bulbs worth a look at for an inexpensive upgrade

Oh and they're really easy to change, you just need a 10mm spanner.

Australia 2007 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Sumatra Black

Hi! I am new in here. I have Freelander2 SE in Australia. I tried to replace xtra powered bulbs. they were not enough light. Yesterday, I replaced headlight units from halogen to LR2 none adaptive xenon headlight units.(Original LR2 xenon headlight units) It took me a few minutes to do so. It was very easy and very bright light. you can not compare with any xtra powered halogen bulb.

Welcome to the forum Thumbs Up

In the UK you have to have automatic self leveling lights and washers to put xenons in and be legal, amongst other things

I think from what i have read and seen the 50-90% brighter bulbs will be fine for me, just waiting till the bulbs go and then replacements will be done Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thank you npinks. Very Happy We have almost same regulation like UK. It is not automatic self leveling. Manual leveling is ok. So there is no problems to install xenon. I can not find any super high quality bulbs here in Australia. I should live in UK, USA or Japan. There is nothing any good bulbs even on ebay here. Big Cry

You'll be very pleased with even the +50%. As I said I've done both dipped units on mine because one failed. What I really need to do is put my hand in my pocket and get another pair for the mains.
