Collected my new 2013 TD4 GS Auto today:
Santorini Black
Black Leather
Cold Climate Pack
UK Lighting pack
Armrest Pack
Privacy Glass
Spare Wheel
Rubber mats

Collection with Stratstone Milton Keynes went smoothly and car seemed well prep'd. So far pretty happy with my new purchase. Bliss being in an auto compared to my old GS manual!

Some observations after a day:

Good:
Like the new dashboard display. Nice and modern.
Love the colour. I hadn't even realised it had gold like flecks in the pain until I collected it lol
Auto is a pleasure
Engine seems nice and torquey - was a bit worried the auto would feel really slow
Arm rests are nice
Bluetooth streaming works a treat from iPad
Handling seems a little tighter. Not as much body roll
Like the DRL and signature led (yes I am a chav lol)
Like the leather and privacy glass

Not so good:
Ride seems a little harsh compared to the old one. Not an issue but not quite as compliant
Seat bottoms seem a little shorter so less support. Either that or the seat backs are fatter pushing you forward. Unsure if this will be an issue on long trips...
Headlights a dull yellow
Bluetooth streaming doesnt work with my Nokia Lumia

The bad:
New centre screen for radio is cheap and nasty and looks out of place. Also way too bright at night. Turn down brightness and then dash board and button lights become too dim
DAB - covered about 100 miles and at no time did the DAB get a signal? Faulty?

Sounds like DAB has not been configured/tuned correctly. Not had a problem in either MY13 Freelander's I've used, nor heard of problems from other owners with MY13.

Mine is working better than the one which was in my ex D4 so very please with it so far

Mmmm... after more playing today still can't get anything from DAB. It just says "No Service"
I tried to read through the owners manual to see if there was anything about setup/tuning and it seems the manual only caters for the touch screen system and not the GS el cheapo setup.

Very disappointed as I really wanted the DAB. Probably something simple like the aerial not plugged in! I really don't fancy the workshops pulling it to pieces to find the issue. Never goes back as good as new.

On a positive note average fuel consumption for the first 170 miles is 36.1 which is OK for an auto I think. And the BT streaming works great on the ipad. Can even use the steering wheel controls to skip forwards/backwards on Spotify, A huge (and welcome) surprise. (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc

I had to install a belkin thing to replicate that on my 2011 FL2. FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green

I would love to be able to get rid of the horrible little centre screen and replace with a 7" tablet but then won't be able to use the radio/cd etc. Going to have to find some other place to mount it. Currently haven't a clue where! (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc

I guessed that was an issue but I cannot find any option for setup, scan etc on the menus. hence referring to the manual which was of no use since it seems to have no info' on the GS setup. I can see how you do it on the touch screen system but not on mine....

Badger has an MY12. It has the separate radio and screen.

I couldn't get anything on my Evoques DAB, I took it for a drive to the coast, where I must have had excellent reception as I was able to pick all channels and store them. Now they are stored it picks them up no problem, apart from a few seconds at the start where it says, no signal or something. hope it helps a bit, I'm not the most tech savvy on here. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Thanks J77 - problem solved.
Drove to the top of the biggest hill in the area and scan picked up loads of channels. Stored the ones that interested me in presets and drive back home. All channels still working

Glad this little but annoying problem has been solved..

Think I'll have to try that on my 2011. I've been unable to get any DAB and have tried autoscan quite a few times in a few difference locations.

I'm assuming mine has DAB given it has 'digital' written on the FM button? FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green
