Camera Equiptment & Flights

Booked myself a holiday for next year

I quite like the idea of taking the DSLR with me, but don't think it the best idea to have it in the checked in baggage, though i might put my tripod in there (but that weighs a bit also so might leave at home)

I won't want to take all my lenses, but will need the essentials 18-55 (or which ever everyday lenses i have by then), 35mm f1.8 and maybe my 70-300 Zoom, will I need a flash too as i doubt i will have the camera out on a night as i will have my Lumix TZ3 ?

My booking says 10kg and a size of 56x45x25 (not sure which is W,D or H)

My Lowe-pro Sling shot 202 is W25x D25.5x H45 cm not sure on its weight

Any advice on travelling with camera appreciated Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

I always take my Canon SLR along with an 18 - 200mm lense attahed and dual Battery grip/motor drive, I have my hand luggage and the camera is in a Lowpro bag over my shoulder, the last few times I flew to Canada, Mexico and Egypt they just asked if we had hand baggage showed them it but they never said anything about the camera.

Camera charger and any other bits ie mono/tri pod goes in the case. HSE TD4 Stornoway Grey ★ Rear Spoiler ★ Black Leather Interior ★ Panoramic Roof ★ Navigation with Bluetooth ★ 19 " Alloys ★ Alpine Stereo 10 Disc Auto changer and Ipod connection and lots of other nice toys ★

Cheers, never travelled with such a large camera, but the airlines like Jet2 say one piece of hand luggage only, which my camera bag can be it, but didn't know if they had any restrictions etc

Last time i flew I had to sip the baby milk and had a snotty C&E power junkie threatening to throw it away Evil or Very Mad Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
