Price of beer

Just been out for a meal with friends in a local pub, nice meal but price of real ale was 3.30 a pint. In the same town I can get the same beer for about 2.50 a pint. What price are people paying for real ale? Probably because I'm a Yorkshire man but I hate being ripped off when it comes to beer! Likewise my local, well in the next village, charged nearly a fiver a pint last time I was in

Used to be in there all the time, food was great, but saw the error in my ways and haven't been in for nearly 2 years Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

」2.90 - 」3.20 around Warwickshire, 」3,50 - 」3.80 down in South Bucnghamshire/Greater Lonfon. I agree that it's a p155 take, especially when 70% is Tax...however, it could be worse - Labour could still be in power with their infamous Beer Duty Escalator. By now, it would have been well over 」4 a pint! Neutral Foraging near Gaydon....

Lived in this town for 8 years and havn't set foot in any of the pubs.
Enough on here whine about fuel being expensive so when I see flavoured water at those prices they can stick them, I wait for special occasions and have a few but that's it.

Not just the tax - organisations like Enterprise which have bought up hundreds of pubs require their tenants to purchase the beer through their offices usually at a premium to the open market. Evil or Very Mad

Down here in the Stroud Valleys we are paying between 」3.30 and 」3 80 a pint in "tied" houses but as low as 」2.20 in a free house. 3 guesses as to which pub has most punters.

As an aside I mostly drink red wine and Banrock Station Shiraz Montaro is about 」18 for a 3 litre box Thumbs Up

Cheaper than beer. Whistle MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
