I hear you. It would be nice if we could get a diesel but I doubt that would happen. I'm really liking the orange color also.

Canada 2007 LR2 i6 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Hello Friends from NY,

Well, I ordered my HSE back in November and I got a call from my dealer today informing them that they have a FL2 coming in tomorrow for the Edmonton Auto Show. They invited me over for a sneak peek. No driving allowed unfortunately Evil or Very Mad

in fact they are not even allowed to drive it on the road...they have to trailer it to and from the show!

Oh well, at least i will finally get to see one up close. Sounds like mine will be ready for delivery sometime March or April.

Looks like the wait is coming to a close for all of patient N. Americans...Finally Very Happy

Yikes!! That surprises me. I thought the UK market was the primary focus. Actually in the end, we are probably better off than the very early adopters. I am hoping that they may have corrected some of the early squeeks, rattles, SW glitches, and oil leaks by the time we take delivery of our vehicles!

Signed...Wishful Thinker Wink

Well after months of waiting, i finally got to sit in a new FL2! I have to say i was very impressed with the vehicle. It is a pre-produciton unit that they brought into town for the car show. We were not allowed to drive it but i spent some quality time going through it with the sales guy. All the talk about the key FOB being cheap and rattly seems to me to be unfounded. It seems pretty good to me as does most of the interior fit and finish. If there is one thing i was not happy with it was the glove box on the passenger side. This really does seem cheap, plasticky, and and almost out of place in this interior. I am amazed that something so basic could slip through the cracks especcially when it seems that so much thought and good design has gone into the rest of the interior. My 2c

k

PS: Will is still move ahead with my purchase? You Bet Thumbs Up

I sat in the FL2 back in Feb as well. Stopped by the dealer (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) yesterday and they informed me that they would have stock next week! (Mid March). Much faster then I had initially thought... Will go for a test drive ASAP!

gibbergump - Can I ask what you paid? I got a number of roughly 45k for base, though even the base seems fairly well equipped.

The dealer had mentioned that Xenons were included in the base, but the brochure seemed to indicate Xenons where only available with the adaptive headlight package. The heated-seats also appeared to be optional, though the dealer listed these as standard... I'm not sure if I can't read, or the dealer was mis-informed, but I'm trying to get a handle on the pricing, though I probably won't buy for another 6 months or so...

(Un)Fortunately my wife actually prefers her currently Freelander over the new one, so I'm not in much of a rush - but I'm definetely going for a test drive as soon as possible!

Hi GTC,

I ordered all of the options including the adaptive lights, winter package, Navigation, and the sound system. This makes it basically equivalent to the UK HSE model. They have quoted me C$53k.

Hope this helps!
