On Continental Cross Contact things I never had a problem. Likewise on winter tyres.
However, I changed my Continentals for Pirelli Scorpion ATRs (which I don't think they make any more) and I have the same problem as you. Roundabouts are frightening in the wet. I really have to slow down in the wet because the car moves about on the tyres all the time. The sods are hardly wearing either and I can't afford to just ditch them. So I'm stuck with them for a while!

If the tyres are tough hard rubber AT's then they can be deadly in the wet.

Mine runs on GY Wranglers for summer and Avon Ranger Ice for winter. Cannot fault either on the FL2. I would guess the Hankooks are your problem. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

I had Hankooks on mine when I got the car and they where ok for the two years they were on.

Never had this problem and have been shunting along in all sorts of conditions......more or less always had Wranglers on running standard pressures and find it really secure.

Of late however I have noticed the front end losing traction over wet raised lines, rough surfaces and especially drains if wet/damp to the point of it feeling dangerous, checked springs etc. can't be a tyre issue as they are relatively new and recently checked all bushings etc when I replaced the suspension arm ball joints. The general ride quality is poor on the front too.

Basically I have put it down to worn shockers and have a pair underway, mine has a lot of miles on it though.

Having driven landrovers for the last 35 years, 2 Defenders 2 Range Rovers 1saloon 1 Freelander all over aus and europe on allsorts of tyresI have never found losing traction or control ever to be a problem.
Constant 4 wheel drive means just that you have to have drive to the wheels to maintain control. If you are braking or coasting the car will behave as a car with single wheel drive freewheeling.

I've run Goodyear, Pirelli and continentals and never had any issues in wet weather, last year I ran the Evoque on 20 Pirelli summers all winter with no problems, I agree with the others the Hankooks maybe don't suit the Fl2. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Thanks for the feedback on tyres. Time for a change before it starts getting into Autumn/Winter.
