Help - Car looses revs after fuel filter change.

Help! please - changed the fuel filter yesterday for a genuine LR one blead the system car started first time and did a few local journeys fine. This morning car starts fine but starting to pull off lost power wouldn't rev changed gear and was fine then did it again could drive at 50 for a while then revs dropped off until changed gear turned around and come home. Also cruise control was disabled (wouldnt light up, flashed briefly on reset). Lifted the bonnet no smell of diesel , not took the covers off yet. Autel read the codes and there's non stored. Any ideas ?

PS car doesn't stall or cut out revs just drop to tick over

How did you bleed it ? Could you have got muck into the fuel system ? Jules

Hi Method was
I fitted the tank feed to the inlet of the filter then pulled fuel through the filter from the tank to prime the filter (pulled about 0.5l) through then pulled fuel through the return line on the filter again 0.5l no air bubbles I could see in either. Car ran fine yesterday around town. and this morning its never stalled . I did pour l the used fuel into a clean container and then tip it back in the tank so is suppose some muck could have worked through.

I prefer to keep the bulb pump on the tank side of the filter just to stop any crap in the pump getting through to the engine side of the filter.

Sounds like the lift pump at the engine is sucking in some air from somewhere as the problem is intermittent. Can you insert some clear tubing to watch for air bubbles heading up to the engine as a way of confirming.

But after inserting the tube I would first try placing the pump on the inlet side of the filter and just pump fuel around until the pump bulb goes hard and you cannot hear any more bubbles returning to the fuel tank.
