Waeco Topicool TC21fl

Going to order one tomorrow, free some space up in the fridge and keep my beers closer to hand and cold

The Coolfreeze range would be my choice but having to economise as these are twice as much

Going to keep in my awning, so need to get a cable to it, is 240v better or are they ok just on 12v Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

How do others get their power to their awnings, extension out the window or I was thinking out via battery box as I run a multi point extension bar under the unit for my sky box and tv Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

We've got a 240v awning socket fitted on the side of the van, which we plug a 4 way distribution board into. This is more than adequate for the low current draw from a 240v coolbox, table lamp, etc....

It's very handy for plugging the griddle plate into, so there's no 'fat splat' all over the kitchen surfaces.. Wink

240volt supply in the side of the van also. You may want to keep it under the van though, as opposed to in the awning as if the weather is hot, your awning will get over 30 degrees meaning its going to be slogging its heart out to chill. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

External sockets are available for retro-fit. Just be sure to get the measurements right before using the jigsaw....

Run cable back to fuse box and tie-in. Check you have space for a spare MCB first.

only have a rear locker that used when the rear triple bunks are packet away, when down you would open up on to a bed, so never use it

The only other locker is the battery locker, so i was thinking of bringing it out of there and under the caravan and into the awning. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

picked my cooler up the other day, perfect size for the FL2 boot, pushed right back its low enough to be below the blind and there is enough room to allow the fans not to be blocked

Have it plugged in on 240v in my office and within an hour it had drop the interior temp from 16c to 2c and is silent when running

At 2c i put it, on to 12v in my boot and a hour later (in a warm car) it was 4c and still working and my car started too Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
