Any recommendations for a Smartphone that fully integrates please. (Fed up with my Samsung which pairs but no phone book - got the car and want ALL the facilities Smile )

The Motorola Q9 works well - syncs phonebook and can access voice dialling by pressing/holding green steering wheel control. There is a problem with recognising phonebook entries with +44 prefix but hopefully this is being sorted this week.

Hi sam,

LR's web site has a list of all the phones which work, or not, with the radio. My Blackberry doesn't even see it so had to buy another phone. Crying or Very sad Grumpy

My Blackberry (Pearl) works fine with the FL2 Bluetooth facility. You need to download the Blackberry Bluetooth Pairing Helper from RIM. This might have saved you the cost of a new phone!

It really is a bit of hit and miss this BT malarky. I have a HTC TyTN II and tried no end of times but the FL2 phone kept saying no connection then lo and behold, tried again today and it paired with full functionality including downloading phonebook.
Strange beast!

Paired with Samsung E900 orignally, no phonebook but still made calls.

Recently it paired and decided to download the phonebook too, even though the phone list specifically states it does not download the phonebook. Phil

I've taken to prefixing my most used numbers with aa so they come up at the top of the phonebook list for easier dialing , what other options are there to save scrolling to find the numbers? The phone voice tags dont recognise my Yorkshire accent or Mrs Georges scouse.
The phone is a nokia 6300 and pairs well as others have already mentioned on here.

Typical luck that the e900 pairs as I didn't think it would and got a nokia for Mrs George too, still it was a free upgrade and the samsung should make a few £ on ebay.
( After owning the fl2 for 10 days M. G. phoned me all excited because she had fathomed out how to work the phone kit !)

Just worth noting that I think the FL2 PTI generally doesn't give enough time for the passkey to be entered in the phone and then to be received by the PTI. I removed my TyTN II from the car today to try connecting it again and it failed a few times until I realised that even after the car is saying cannot connect, OKing that message on the car, my mobile carried on doing its thing and full connection (with full facilities) was restored. I must say that there were times this morning when it didn't work that I was kicking myself!!
Just mention it in case others are giving up too early in trying to connect

Picked up my FL2 today and my Vodafone 1615 (a HTC TyTn II by another name) connected first try, sync the phone book and makes and receives call no problems, but I must admit I was expecting a struggle.

Chris.

And yes the car said it had failed, but it worked one I had pressed "Finish" on the phone.

Chris.
