Australia 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver
Best place to do a Land Rover Experience day

Hi All,
My dealer finally sent me a free half day LRE voucher, just wondered which is the best center to book? I live in the North but can travel and make a weekend of it. A factory tour would be a good add-on too!

Also, can I pay extra to make it a full day and even buy an extra place for the MRS?

Thanks all!

Mike

The voucher should be for yourself & upto TWO guests...

I was Told the centre near S.Wales was the best....I've been there, and it is HUGE (they have 5000 acres to play in)...

& YES, Pay the extra money, and extend it to the WHOLE day....(Well, thats MY advise!) '57 FL2 GS

I can only vouch for Coniston Hall,

Great 1/2 day spent there, but have heard the South Wales one is a good site

You can upgrade, but its best to speak to them on it as you may not be able to other people

EDIT: It may be worth asking the lads over on www.Disco3.co.uk as they are a vast knowledge when it comes to off roading Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

My favorite is Bala, Mid/North Wales, fantastic routes through forests and stunning views. A great range of surfaces but not as much mud as Eastnor. The Experience centre is in the grounds of a rather swanky hotel where you have lunch on the full day course and could stay over.
Remember your Freelander was built at Halewood Liverpool so if factory tours are available you could call in on route to see your cars birthplace. Enjoy the Experience, the range of Freelanders capability will blow you away. See if you could do F/Lander in the morning and Defender after lunch, then you can do some interesting routes still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

We went to Coniston Hall (nr Skipton) & it was brilliant. We upgraded & got a Level One course for the two of us for, well, lets just say it wasn't the advertised price! We had maybe 10mins on road then spent the rest of the day learning how to go up & down & on two wheels - awesome! I'd highly recommend it, but be warned, you will want to take your pride & joy off road!
