What distance between cars will constitute tailgating, and how will they measure it? |

Not many to enforce it to start with, but it'll soon be self financing. |

I know that in Huddersfield the magistrates court has been trialling a fast track prosecution procedure for motoring offences, maybe it will all tie in together? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Is there a strict and simple definition of tailgating so everyone understands exactly what the law is and will there be evidence based prosecution....

If your driving is interpreted to be dangerous then you need to be fined and drive how you were taught to do. It seems to me blaming the police man is the easy way out. If you weren't doing anything wrong you wouldn't get stopped. I don't know why many people despise the police they have an extremely hard job and everyone should have more respect in my opinion and understand that if you get stopped you've done something wrong and stop trying to interpret the law to weasel out of your punishment. When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car |

Will they use some of the income to repair the inside lane and remove the truck tyre ruts which cause my vehicle to wander all over when I am in that lane (usually in the outside lane doing @@@ mph). Tony |

The rule of thumb I drive by - and drummed into me when learning to ride a motorcycle is 'only a fool breaks the two second rule'. ie note where the vehicle in front of you is re a static roadside point and then there should be a 2 second gap between you and the vehicle in front. It works very well! |
