Rear Light Tints

Has anybody had there rear lights tinted?

With mine been the best colour Stornaway Grey and having rear window tints the lights look very red and shiney and i want to give it a little tint.

I have seen a product called Lamin-X and was wondering if anybody has used or seen the end result.

Its basically a film you apply to the exterior lenses, heating it up to stretch round the contours of the lenses

Any thoughts on it or other products Question Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

If you tint these & somebody runs into the back of you...I think you'll be on dodgy ground ref. insurance! Big Cry

Should be OK then? I know manufacturers have to pass a test based on visibility, but I don't know how close the FL2 is to failing the test...so would a 20% tint make it illegal? Who knows, but it'll look nice & somebody would be hard pressed not to spot the back end of a FL2 Rolling Eyes

I'm now looking at blacking out the rear 3 windows on mine using the Halfords film as I want to achieve privacy glass & sat nav (Sony £76) all for under £100 Laughing
