2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

A 320 mile round trip

Hi peeps,

I have had my freely about 6 weeks now and so far so good ( Touches Wood ), Today I put her to the test and we did a 320 mile round trip from the Wirral to LLanelli to check out our latest family addition before handing over some hard earned

Yeah shes cute and I got all the puppy dog eyes off Mrs Voodoo and the the Kids and money left my fingers again

Any way back to the Freely, our route was all A roads from Wrexham through Oswestry, Welshpool, LLandrindod Wells to LLanelli, Roads were almost empty usuall Bikers enjoying the roads the odd tractor and Caravan otherwise nice clear roads there and back, the Car performed well on the bends hills and straights and overtaking was easy with no lack of power, the best bit is I covered the 320 miles on a touch over half a tank of Diesel and managed 38mpg and I wasnt driving lightly.

For a large heavy 4x4 I am more than impressed with it, even wifey said 38mpg was good concidering shes just picked up Her eco friendly Lexus CT200H that does the moon and back on a tank of juice

Enjoy the puppy, she's beautiful.

I'm heading to Spain on Wednesday, with a drive back home through France. Really looking forward to it to see how the FL2 performs.

Shes a Japanes Shiba Inu, related to Japanese akita's but allot smaller.

Hope you enjoy your drive as much as I did, I really couldnt fault the freely the TD4 performed well and you have the SD4 so that bit extra will be nice on those twisty country roads.
