Called in at the dealers today to sort out my reg and get a first look at the car. Before I even saw it I noticed the key fob tag said Santorini not Narvik. Sure enough its arrived with metallic paint but I don't pay any extra

Apparently Santorini is famous for volcanic eruptions, so Mrs George should get on fine with it

I might receive the car on Friday as the dealership is busy on sat 1st. So I can fit the clear repeaters and black side pipes before its first proper road trip.

due to the dealer cock up tell them to fit the tube, even though they gave you free metalic paint

If you don't get away with it they only charge 1 hours labour (£6 to fit and you don't get dirty doing it Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Pic of new Santorini Surprise looks good, similar to mine in Narvik but don't remember seeing the tracks on mine.
Off-roading should be fun though.

Apparently Narvik is now discontinued which is maybe why I got Santorini instead?

The guy who keeps the military vehicles at my place is expecting a Sherman tank in a few weeks, then as soon as he has found an engine for it we can play.
Our first game is going to have to be caravan crushing, oh the joy

And if the dealer gives me any trouble he may well get a tank gun thru his reception door.


If you like military vehicles and memorabilia then every year my mate gets involved in the Pickering war weekend. I went last year for a look and the place was amazing, everything is 1940, from tanks down to prams for babies. a very different and unusual day out.

That is not me and the mrs but they look like the sort of people who could precision drop a bomb on a caravan from 10,000 ft so I like them.
