Switzerland 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Sumatra Black
Warning

I sometimes get to amber flashiing light warning , if i stop and restart the engine the warning is gone.

Any idea what causes this to happen.

The amber warning is the light symbol yellow flashing, on the speedometer

I can't see what the light might be as i don't know what shape the light is

I have looked through the owners quick start guide and it shows lots of dashboard lights

have a look hear

Then select the Freelander 2, then, Owners handbook, then, quick start guide, then, facia overview

Or go to the owners handbook and owners manual then quickstart as it shows warning/dashlights

Let me know what you find, Do you have a DPF (diesel Partical filter) thats a amber light

or if your HSE has the Adaptive Front Headlights they are a amber light with arrows under it, and this will illuminate if there is a fault and try to put the lights back to centre (though it does flash up on the dash on starting the car) Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks for your help, and sorry to confuse you. The warning is for the lights, the same shape as the green light indication when the lights are turned on. When i get this its flashing amber on the speedo side Question

sounds like the adaptive headlight icon

It comes on when you start the car, and should go out,

If it comes on whilst driving you have a problem with the system according to the manual, and will need a trip to the dealer to fix.

I presume if this is happening it will also generate a fault log Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

If the symbol you mention is actually in the speedo section, and you say is a light symbol,

then on my XS model it is the rear fog light warning symbol. Mine is orange,

but does not flash during normal useage.

It is only illuminated when I have the rear fog light switched on.
