In the past I insured my LRs with NFU Mutual, and found them very good, but I've just asked for quotes for 2011 FL2 that is on its way, and they are v expensive. Any good value deals out there?

No accidents claims or convictions. 14 years protected NCD as well! Big difference. Legalised Piracy if you ask me !! Foraging near Gaydon....

Try LV=. I've always been happy with them - not necessarily the cheapest but VERY good at dealing with any problems or claims and good with various admin bits and bobs such as temporary additions to cover, foreign travel, courtesy cars, etc. Highly recommended. Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

Saga's 'repeat' insurance wanted £400+!!! So went with Admiral, courtesy of those meerkats, searching for just about 1/2 cost, same cover......but then... adding our second car and making it a 'mulitcar' policy (from next Jan when the Jag insurance is due) brought the Landy insurance down to £168, full comp, full NCB and protected NCB included, so well happy!!!

Seems we all have to consider changing insurance companies each year to get the best deals......loyalty counts for nothing these days, so be it! Kola is the big solid black German Shepherd, Dobbie is.......a breed you've never heard of......yet;)

£390 last year with Esure, been with them for years, loyalty and claim free history counts for nothing as they won't insure me with the Disco, LV wanted £600 and would not cover for theft or attempted theft till a Tracker was fitted.
Admiral, started at £320 but charged £25 if you have been a Speed Awarnes in the last three years all in all came to £380 and no Tracker required. I am expecting that Admiral will ramp it up next year as they seem to offer cheap to get your business and sting you the next year, so who knows who it will be with next year. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Thanks for the input, particularly in regard to response to claims, you don't get that kind of info from a price comparison website. NFU quoted £800 for self and wife, £1400 if included daughter (2 and boyfriend (30+) full NCB and clean licences all round.
