Cheers for the info, what's the SW model? It doesn't seem to be on there?

I'll be the same as you mate on the test and when viewing I'm very picky. Although hopefully I'll have one before 6 months Wink

How much do they drop in price towards summer (if anything)?

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

SW Is station wagon Laughing I ask the very same question ...

What I did was set a budget then look around ebay ,auto, exchange ..there is alot of them on there that are sold by dealers & private, then went to main dealers to compare what I could get.

if you want less gadgets then start with S and as you move up you get more gadgets unless some 1 has paid for extra's

once I picked the car I spoke to forum and ask about what i should get for the speck,Dan who's a sponsor on here sent me full spec sheet for my vehicle ,so I then knew what to check out...

In the 6 months Ive been looking the prices dint move .. but the cars did ..

Hope this helps Iain

Go look at all the specifications depending on the year. Decide what you want and then be patient and seek it out, do not compromise too much on what you set your sights on, as you may regret it.

It took me 3 months to find the one I got, after it had taken a month or so looking at all the pro's and cons with the different models in the year range I could afford.

There are a lot of subtle differences in the standard models from wheel styles/size to interior trims and audio systems, then there are factory options on each model.

It all depends on what you want or what you are willing to accept for the funds available. I went for as close to the top of the range (SE in then year range I chose) with the most amount of factory fitted options, for a fixed Max budget of £ xxx.

Was planning on viewing a few this weekend but I can't find any I'm really set on.

There was an SE in silver 07 with low miles pretty local but it's gone Sad

Most of em for sale seem to be 's' models, there's a nice low mileage black one but will I regret going for a 'S'????

Ideally I wouldn't mind a SE, could do with something in the next 3 weeks really but at the same time I don't want to rush into anything.

If you set yourself up for an SE do not drop and go for an S they are so basic you will regret it.
I have an 08 SE in black which is going in the next couple of days. Taking any offers over £12k.

If not sold private it is going to a local trader.

I know that's what I'm thinking what exactly would you miss from an SE?

I'll just have to be patient Sad

What's the mileage, info etc on yours?

I would miss the 6 CD, 13 speaker/subwoofer Alpine system.
Folding mirrors.
Heated seats
Heated screen.
Sat nav.
Adjustable lumbar support.
Auto dimming mirror.
The kids would miss the centre armrest in the back with the storage container for iPods etc.

Not too sure what if any of the above are standard on the S but they will be missed.
