Great treat!! It works even for my Singaporean FL2, anyway it's from UK. Hahaha..

Hate the chimes coz very soon right after I move on, it start the noise. When I fetch up someone, the passenger not even seated properly yet..

Thanks a Million!

The procedure I did was this:

open car
sit in drivers seat
key in ignition
press and hold down start button (foot NOT on clutch) until lights on dash come on
put seat belt in and out 10 times (I only counted 9 Confused ) until a bleep

Job done

Same again if you should by any chance want the chimes back again Rolling with laughter 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

What I do to silence the seat belt chime is to put the seat belt behind the seat and clip it into the socket. I did this some weeks ago on an site seeing trip when I was driving slow. This allowed me to get into and out of the car without putting on the seat belt and no chime.

When I drive on public roads I always use my seat belt. When the seat belt was behind the seat, I was not doing more than about 65KM/Hr and on gravel roads. No speed cops for miles.

This was one of the first things I did on my D3, sadly it is not as simple as this on a lot of other cars eg VAG group ones.

Hi CG

It was the best emoticon i could find at the time. Laughing

One of my reasons for getting the FL2 was the 5 star crash stats. no point not using the seat belt then. Thumbs Up

I may be a dope on the ropes at work. But not with the family.

No, but i have seen a head crushed by an oil drum, does that count?

i believe in the right to self determination so if i wish to take the risk of not wearing a seat belt on occasion i will do so. No accident was ever caused by the lack of seat belt being worn.
