I originally had a deposit on the LRX concept car before production was confirmed, LR were taking deposits but weren't spilling the beans to prospective owners so started to loose a bit of interest. LR then announced the 11MY facelift Fl2 and I though better the devil you know and went ahead with it. A few months into ownership and production is confirmed, it will be a Baby Range Rover, another few months and its named as the Evoque then all this 'hello Evoque' publicity stuff starts and I get sucked in, the green eyed monster comes out and deposit is paid again.

I'm glad I done it before launch, as it felt special being invited to launch party's all the PR stuff etc, I officially ordered mine in July 2011 and eventually took delivery 18/01/12, it was a long wait but babyRR.com kept me entertaind 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Ok - second day of ownership...really enjoying driving it. Handling-wise, it's not as responsive or sporty as my old Kuga, but the ride is so much nicer. It's just a really great quality piece of kit. Missing keyless entry the most, but will get used to going back to the blipper...

Agree looks really nice but I do have a thing about the freelander roof bars , it looks like the scaffolders have been in

Sorry about the poor quality but it was going dark and an iPhone, this is my first freelander , had it 2 months now, very pleased with it, just got a little noise issue it's very feint and hard to locate but other than that very happy.

It was bought to reduce costs from the disco3, but provide almost the same qualities, its 90 % there.

Got mine cleaned today. The Eastern Europeans did a good job. I'm hoping to get some more car cleaning stuff for my birthday (18th) from SWMBO, and hopefully a pressure washer too. Then it will be easier to clean the car myself.
