Airbag light, Seatbelt Light, Wiper Fluid???

Just had the first service done yesterday!

Noticed tonight my seatbelt warning light and my airbag lights won't turn off as per normal. Headed back to dealer in the morning to address it.

Also when I picked up my FL2 the dealer said the wiper fluid bottle had a leak and ordered me a new one! Anyone else face this issue?

not had any problems with the warning lights

I beleive if they are lit up on the dash it means that there are faults and the car will have disabled them until the dealer can fit it. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

fault codes should still be stored, so the dealer should be able to still find the problem Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I get same seatbelt/airbag warning light

I had the same seat belt warning and airbag warning lights come on this weekend. Yes, both and it was for the passenger. Seems like it happens when a passenger is getting in and I am starting the vehicle at the same time, then the warning lights stay on. Somehow it gets confused. this doesn't happen with out a passenger. And once we reached our destination, if my passenger gets out and I restarted it, then problem goes away. Very weird ,... yet totally unacceptable. I expect way better from a luxury class SUV.

I too have my first 7500 mile check up coming on this Friday. I'll have them check it out and I'll post back on this thread with what I learn.

Keith.

I have seen same problem and never knew what caused it. It has always gone away after a simple restart though, still not acceptable as you said for this suv.

went this AM but no fault codes so dealer could do nothing

Now the problems isn't happening anymore and I can't reproduce it. So the dealer said that next time it happens, don't shut off the vehicle, rather, drive straight to service center and call them and leave it running so the technician can see the codes with the diag tool.. Rolling Eyes

bummer.

The good news - I just had my very first service (7500 miles) and it went great. Thumbs Up

cheers

That's great but what do they expect us to do if it happens at 11 pm like it did with mine. They're closed they have to be more realistic, do they expect us to run the car all night long?

I hear ya.. totally unreasonable. Its almost like they don't want to bother unless the error codes are flashing in their faces. Wouldn't want them to work too hard Rolling Eyes

Or better yet, since its so erratic, we could all just sit around and wait until the the moon aligns with the sun and Pluto and the summer solstice is shining through Stonehenge, Bow down etc. and then it will happen. ... Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
