The law does differentiate between towing, and recovering. So using a 8m strap to recover someone from a ditch etc would be perfectly OK. but you'd need to change straps if you then elect to tow them for any distance. Just as an A-frame is OK to recover a vehicle from a place of danger, but not acceptable to tow the same vehicle any futher. |

Also be carful of these sites selling 14 tonne straps (on double) thats 7 tonne single, they are only 1 tonne strops with a 7:1 safety factor, its called a safety factor for a reason and if you use up your safety factor you could be in danger.
