2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Stornoway Grey

I think I'll stick with getting my clutch a bit warm, or go for the hardwark method, and get the highlift jack out to hand winch it next time, I don't think I'll be buying a KERR rope any time soon.

Nice pictures of what damage it can do though.

Has anyone got any experience of using a highlift jack as a winch?

I'm going to buy the jack-mate for my highlift so I can lift the car from the wheel, but debating about whether I need to buy the offroad kit, or if a few chains and shackles is all I need to which with.

The one thing I would say, is always carry a shovel, in fact I may buy a second, a small folding shovel, as a big one was great for the heavy work, but rubbish under the rear of the car, and we ended up using a stick we found burried in the mud.

Just looking through the new well known trade product book where you can order upto 6pm and get next day delivery Whistle Thumbs Up

and came across this and thought of your folding shovel quote

Folding Shovel

Npinks

I found that www when I did a search on google for 'folding shovel', as I plan to purchase one.

There are umpteen sites, and varying prices.

Haven't yet worked out which is the best site when the delivery costs are added.

Possibly the Draper make is the best model, look carefully at the different sizes of the outer makes of shovel - some are quite small.

I think they would be best if the shovel could be locked at a 90degree angle as well as 180 so it could be used more like a scraping scooping rake like device.

I had one that did this many years ago, I'll have to see if my ma & pa have it in there garage still Smile Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
