Ive just got a manual S model, no fancy knobs to twirl, would my car go up a similar hill with out a problem or is there a nack to it? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

maybe but yours sounds like a 2wd version When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car |

Yes, Stevie it probably would, GGS mode dulls throttle response, limits wheel slip angle etc, so steady away, no sudden acceleration, keep her going and you will get up, it's the same engine, gearbox, tyres etc. |

no fast and furious wins uphill on slippy stuff. going up atleast, Id never stop and only slow down if had too. my way would be less damaging to the field too. At work |

Disagree with you there CG, as soon as you break traction going to fast you will start to lose speed. Momentum is required, get going at a decent speed but not revving to highly and keep it consistent, if you break traction don't back off or you won't regain traction, n GGS will keep a handle on the slip and get you to the top. |

I did try it at Cold Coniston on the LRE day, set off, constant speed, fairly quick to keep momentum and we got to the top, then we tried the other way, balls out gung ho and it was grass and mud flying evrywhere with very little progress.
