Forum meet at Luton Hoo Land Rover Experience Centre *FULL*

Dear all,

I am working with our local LRE Centre to put together a regular forum meet (hopefully monthly) from later on in the year. The plan would be for interested parties to register via this sign-up, so that nearer the time we can invite members in the order that they registered their interest.

The format is likely to be a session in the morning and a session in the afternoon with a light lunch in the middle of the day when we change groups. Because the LRE Centres are limited to a specific number of each model then we would try to mix all of Martin's forums together and operate a convoy system so that everyone gets a chance to drive each vehicle.

The final details and logistics are yet to be agreed, and I appreciate that this may only appeal to those forum members who are local to HGG, however it would be a good chance for members to get together and drive the new course that has been set up at Luton. Due to the popularity of the LRE days we would need to opt for a mid-week date to guarantee exclusivity for the forums and HGG.

If you are interested then please use the sign-up attached and I will then invite members based on when they signed up.

Thanks for everyone's interest. Just a quick update to let you know that I hope to finalise details over the next week or so and am aiming for the first event in April, subject to availability.

Really looking forward to it!

UPDATE!

I am pleased to confirm that the first HGG/Forum/LRE day has been booked for Thursday 18th April. There will be an AM and PM session with breakfast rolls for the AM group and pastries for the PM group (plus teas and coffees etc). The idea would be to have 12 + a guest each on each session with a convoy of approx 12 LRE vehicles with regular changes from one vehicle to another.

In a couple of weeks I will be asking those towards the top of the list to confirm if they can attend, and where possible (as lots of you know each other) then ideally if the +1 could be another forum member then that would be great.

Exact timings and attendees are yet to be confirmed, therefore I will update you again as soon as I have more information.

Hopefully if this first event is enjoyed (and goes to plan) then I am keen to arrange a bi-monthly meet. Sadly a weekend day won't be possible due to the demand at LRE, however hopefully this event will give everyone a chance to get together and enjoy a bit of mud!

Dear all,

I am pleased to confirm details of our Hadley Green Land Rover Experience Day which is booked for Thursday 18th April. For clarity this event has been funded by good old HGG (Hadley Green Garage)!

Across the 6 forums we had 108 interested members; however there are only 24 available spaces which includes taking a 1 guest. We have therefore drawn up a list of invitees from each forum with places issued in order of when their interest was shown and also proportionally by the level of demand from that particular forum. All being well then we hope to run these events as often as possible, and will work our way down the list, so please do not be disappointed if you have missed this first one!

For those of you who are listed below, please can you check your availability for 18th to confirm that you can definitely attend (to be fair to those who are not in this rotation!) and then send me a PM (or email forum@hadleygreen.co.uk) by Friday 22nd March with the following details:

Forum Nickname
Forum you are listed on (for this event)
Real Name
Address
Postcode
Mobile Number
Email Address
Preference of AM or PM (this will also be first come first served)
Name of your guest (if it can be another forum member then all the better!)**

** If you are not bringing a guest then please let us know as we will free up a space for another forum member to attend as your guest to fill the spare spaces.

I will then email everyone the week after (w/c 25th) confirming the booking, joining instructions, address and whether the rotation is AM or PM. Please make sure that you only attend if you have had this confirmation, however if you have sent a PM and not received a PM by the end of March then do let me know!

The itinerary is as follows:

AM Session

• 08.30 arrive for hot bacon roll, coffee & registration
• 09.00 Off Road Driving
• 12.00 Coffee & depart

PM Session

• 12.45 arrive for coffee & registration
• 13.00 Off Road Driving
• 16.00 Tea & cakes & depart

Between the two sessions there will be an opportunity to mingle with the other forum members, and based on previous experience of these events then there will be a lot of admiring of each others cars. We also hope to have a few of the HGG fleet on display there too.

So, the role call of shortlisted forum members is as follows, but remember it also includes bringing a guest. If you are listed below then please check your availability and that of your guest and PM or email as above:
