Just wondered if anyone else has this happen to them.....

When reversing, the radio audio drops to a low level so that you can hear the beeps. If I turn the radio off whilst reversing then the beeps disappear. The only way to get them back is to re-engage reverse gear..

Has anyone else noticed this  ______________________

Just tried and my beeps stay on.

Just been out and about

front sensors and rear sence stay beeping when the radio is switched off, whether manually turned on or by selecting reverse

Can I just check that you both had the radio on whilst reversing, and then turned it off whilst still reversing without taking the car out of reverse gear ??

That's exactly what I did.

likewise, selected reverse and kept in, also done using the sensor "on" button with close traffic front and rear

The only thing I have had with mine is when reversing and stalling the car (lack of consenration or hangover)is the radio comes back on but with no sound when restarted, but LR could not find a fault.

I have to switch the radio off and back on again to correct this. I can't say if the beeps work as the driveway is open. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I have noticed the same thing. In fact I had a related occurence on New Years Day when reversing out of my drive ( I know you shouldn't reverse out into the road!) as usual I was relying on the sensors as there was a car parked across from me. As we backed out I pressed the radio control to turn it on and the sensors shut down and stupid me caught the Fiesta opposite with the rear nearside bumper. The FL2 came off best with a few scratches to the bumper paintwork but took the wing mirror off the Ford and badly damaged the door. I've just today taken the FL2 in for attention.
Seems like the link between the radio and the sensors via the audio unit must reset itself at evry change of any of the controls. D3 GS Java Black TDV6 Manual
