Brake Squeal When Setting Off - OK When Braking

I have an annoying squeal on my brakes. This can be heard only after setting off (either from stationary or a rolling start) once the brake pedal has been released, not when braking (No noise when braking). The squeal goes after a few seconds but is really annoying.
I cannot tell if its front or rear, but seems to be from the left side.
The disks look OK and don’t appear to be excessively hot (not binding). I changed the rear pads last year due to another squeal (brake pad back plate had come adrift from the friction material) but haven’t touched the front.
Anyone experienced this?
I will take the wheels off this weekend to have a closer look. Just wondering if one of the callipers is a little slow to release????
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Could well be. I had the same squeal and it was the rear calipers. They tend to stick.
Bit of copper slip sorted it Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Sounds like you've hit the nail on the head. Good dosing of brake cleaner if you're not stripping it, good clean and copper ease on the pots if you strip. Don't get it on the discs or pads though, (sorry to teach granny to suck eggs)

Thanks guys.
Plenty of experience with the rear brake type as these are similar to those fitted to the FL1 and others I have worked on over the years. Never dealt with the FORD type fitted to the front though.
