2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black
"New Posts" on mobile device

When I view "new posts" on my Windows phone - it seems to then mark all posts as "read" or at least not new. So if I read 1 post and then close the browser, when I come back - there are no new posts to view. End result is that unless I read every new post when I go in I end up missing any I did not get to read in that 1 session.

I think this was the same on my blackberry as well - but wont swear by it.

If I do this on my desktop - it does not automatically mark all the posts as read, only the ones I have actually read. So I can come back several times to catch up with the new posts. (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc
(Going) 2013 TD4 GS Auto - Santorini Black with black leather. Cold Climate, UK Lighting & Armrest Packs. Privacy Glass. LR Rubber Mats. Full size spare.
60 000 miles averaging 35mpg

(Gone) 2010 TD4 Manual GS - Stornoway Grey. Sold at 3yrs old & 64k miles. Final average consumption 39.2mpg.

Australia 2007 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Tambora Flame

I am fairly certain this is all about 'sessions'. If you are closing the browser on your phones, when you come back to the site, you are in a new session. On your PC, are you closing your browser between views? I imagine you aren't.

What type of browser on the desktop? 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Baltic Blue

I would suggest trying Google Chrome or Safari....neither of those browsers I have any problem with when viewing new posts....they don't disappear until I have actively read them. I can't speak for IE, as I haven't gone anywhere near Windows for 4 years now. Try it and see.... Foraging near Gaydon....

On the PC you can come backwards and forwards several times (even when closing the browser). Even on different browsers or PCs. (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver

It happens on my IPhone as well (running safari)
Read a couple if posts and then close the browser down and next time I open the browser all the previous unread posts are gone.
Another forum I use, unless I physically read the post they stay as an unread post and ate there the next time I browse.
