19 inch tyres

I have 19" shadow chrome wheels on my freelander with 235/55/19 tyres on them.I'm wanting to know is it possible to fit a wider tyre to them ie a 255/55/19 ?

As mentioned in the topic above fitting non-standard tyres can result in issues with your insurance company as they would be classed as a modification. LR recommend 235/55/19 as that is the sized designed to fit the vehicle, go wider and it might cause issues with clearance around the wheels.

255 50 19 ok no rub issues but as above some ins companies would not like it and some are fine
